easi π (pi) alludes to the circular geometries embodied in the design.

easi π is designed as an ergonomic, minimal, and contemporary device to control the light intensity and color temperature of multiple groups of lighting fixtures.

easi π : Description

easi π consists of two components; a soft circular transmitter unit with an integrated battery compartment and a magnet for attaching to a wall bracket. The wall bracket, with keyhole attachment slots, has a recessed area with a metal plate to orientate and receive the transmitter unit.

easi π has a neutral gray palette, in 3 tones of gray, delineating the button functions. The On/Off button function is highlighted with a backlit LED ring indicating the ‘ON’ mode.

easi π has 5 button functions as described in the design brief. Haptic design principles are integrated into the 2 buttons that operate the light intensity and color temperature with 3 graduated raised dots. The 2 buttons for operating lighting zones are indicated with raised triangular arrow icons. The On/Off button has a raised international icon.

easi π is targeted at the home environment with applications for use in kitchen cabinet fixtures, pendant and recessed downlights.

easi π has a AAA battery compartment with a sliding access cover. The cover incorporates a magnetic pad enabling attachment to the wall bracket or other magnetic surfaces e.g., refrigerator doors, steel cabinets. etc.

easi π components are recyclable Injection-moulded ABS with matte, non-slip textures.

easi π transmitter unit measures 70mmØ x 22mm. The wall bracket measures 88mm x 4mm.
